Port Blair, April 01: In a shocking development an 18 year old girl was brutally attacked with a machete by a 25 year old youth at Garacharma on 30 March 2022 evening. According to sources after attacking the girl, the youth escaped from the scene of crime and went underground.
The girl, who was attacked outside her house, was immediately rushed to PHC Garacharma with grievous injuries on her head, hands and chest.
Soon the matter was reported to PS Pahargaon and subsequently a case was registered against the youth immediately. After great efforts the absconding accused was finally arrested by a team of PS Pahargaon yesterday night. It is learnt that today the accused was produced in court from where he was sent to judicial custody.
