Port Blair, Mar 22: The meeting of all the elected members of Zilla Parishad, North & Middle Andaman will be held on 31.03.2022 (Thursday) in the Zilla Parishad Community Hall, Mayabunder (near Murugan Temple) for the election to the office of the Director and Deputy Direct for the 1st year term of Zilla Parishad, North & Middle Andaman commencing from 31.03.2022.
Oath will be administered to the newly elected Adhyaksha, Up-Adhyaksh and Zilla Parishad Members on the same day after the election in the Zilla Parishad Community Hall, Mayabunder (near Murugan Temple).
Under sub-section (6) of Section 150 of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands (Panchayats) Regulation, 1994 the offices of the Adhyaksha for the first & third year of the ZillaParishad will be reserved for women and for the fifth year in favour of a member if any belongs to the Scheduled Tribes.
