Port Blair, Feb 11: The Office of the Director Panchayat and Municipal Election, Port Blair issued an advisory regarding the permission for mounting flags and stickers on the vehicles of the election candidates.
DPME decided that each candidate should inform the concerned Returning Officer about the vehicle with registration details to be used by him/her for election purposes. A copy of that information should be displayed on the windshield of the vehicle.
Only one small size flag and sticker are allowed for each vehicle which is placed in a way that should not hamper the traffic movement.
All Returning Officers are directed to follow the advisory and disseminate it among the candidates.
