Port Blair, Jan 03: Classes from 1 to 6 of all Schools of all management (Govt./ Govt. Aided/Private/ Local Bodies/ KV/JNV) across Andaman and Nicobar Islands will remain closed as a precautionary measure for two weeks from 04 January 2022.
According to the release issued by the Directorate of Education the remaining classes of all management schools and other activities shall be conducted as per new direction which is:
Physical Classes from Classes VII to IX will be conducted on alternate days with immediate effect for two weeks. Physical Classes from Class X to XII will be conducted on daily basis being senior and Board class students.
Attendance will not be mandatory for the students from Class VII to XII. They can prefer to continue their studies through online/digital mode of education.
Academic instruction to the entire student from Class I to XII shall continue to be made available through alternate mode by the Cable TV, Education Department’s, You Tube Channel “AN Education Dept Andaman” and WhatsApp group.
Cooked Mid Day Meal under PM-POSHAN Scheme will be served to the students of Class VII & VIII of Govt., Govt. Aided and Local Body Schools only on the days when they attend schools and Food Security Allowance will be provided to these students for the remaining working days excluding holidays as per the norms.
Students from Class I to VI of Govt., Govt. Aided and Local Body Schools will be provided with Food Security Allowances as per norms for all the school working days, the release stated.
