Port Blair, Dec 26: Air Force Station Car Nicobar organised a memorial service as a mark of respect to the 122 departed souls who lost their lives when Air Force Station Carnicobar was struck by the devastating Tsunami on 26 Dec 04. During this solemn ceremony, the personnel of the Station paid tribute to the supreme sacrifice made by the air warriors and their families. Air Cmde P Maheshwar, VayuSena Medal, who was the Chief Operations Officer of Air Force Station Carnicobar on that ill-fated day presided over the ceremony and placed a wreath as a mark of respect.
