Port Blair, Dec 26: To promote cleanliness and respect for environment, the team of Yuva Bharat Samaj Seva Charitable Trust (YBSSCT) in collaboration with Hut Bay Panchayat held a cleanliness drive on Sunday at Farm Tikery, Little Andaman. During the cleanliness drive, We came across thrown garbage by the villagers on the streets and road sides. The litters were collected in 06 huge bags and handed over to the Hut Bay panchayat member for further action. “We aim to make people aware of the importance and methods of handling waste responsibly and try to take a step towards a cleaner environment. It is imperative to understand that a whole, lot of diseases can be traced back to unhygienic environments and irresponsible waste disposal,” said Mr K. Lokanadham of YBSSCT
