Port Blair, Nov 26: PORT BLAIR, NOV 26/–/ ICAR- KVK, CIARI, on Friday, invited 35 numbers of School going students of Don Bosco School, Lalpahar to its Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Sippighat to commemorate the adoption of Constitution by the Constituent Assembly on 26th November 1949. In the event Dr. L.B. Singh, Dr. R. Jaya Kumaravaradan, Dr. D. Karunakaran, Dr. B. K. Nanda, Dr. N. Bommayasamy, Dr. Pooja Kapoor spoke on the genesis of Constitution Day, importance of Constitution in shaping the overall development of the country and also spoke on the role of CIARI/KVK in agricultural technology development in the Islands. Later, Technologies on vermicompost production, small farm implements, value addition in millets, Oyster mushroom production, pot mixture preparation and nursery management are demonstrated by the Experts of ICAR-KVK, Port Blair. Program is conducted under the guidance of Dr. E.B.Chakurkar, Director, ICAR-CIARI, Port Blair.
