Port Blair, Nov 01: Together with the rest of the country, the Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee paid floral Tributes to Bharat Ratna Smti. Indira Priyadarshini Gandhi, the former only women Prime Minister of India on her 37th Death Anniversary and the Ironman of India Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel on his 146th Birth anniversary was paid across the Union Territory of Andaman & Nicobar Islands by the Congress Party. Both Great Leaders of the Nation are remembered for their selfless service to humanity and for their contributions towards bringing about unity, integrity and development of the Nation.
The President, Mr. Rangalal Halder, Pradesh Congress Committee and Mr. G Bhasker, Chairman, Campaign Committee accompanied with leaders of the Pradesh Congress Committee paid rich floral tributes to Smti. Indira Priyadarshini Gandhi at Diglipur on her 37th Martyrdom day.
Also at Gandhi Bhavan, Port Blair, the Vice President, Smti. Shanta Laxman Singh, Pradesh Congress Committee and Senior Leader Mr. Hamid Ali with leaders of other frontal organizations paid homage and took pledge for National Integration.
