Port Blair, Oct 14: With an objective to provide Quality Planting material of different horticulture crops like fruits, vegetables, tubers, flowers, spices, plantation, medicinal plants alongwith agriculture, fisheries, animal husbandry component and their farm products, ICAR-CIARI has started Dweep Sale Point at its Garacharma Research Complex.
The Dweep Sale Point was inaugurated today by Dr. Eaknath B. Chakurkar, Director, CIARI in presence of heads of the Division/Section and staff. In his inaugurated address he dedicated the Dweep Sale Point as a farm service provider to the stakeholders namely farmers, urban people and visiting tourists of the Island. The sale point will also have the technology, bulletins on different aspects for dissemination of know- how and do- how.
Interested clients can visit the Dweep Sale Point from 09.30 am to 04.30 pm on all working days to avail the benefits.
