Port Blair, Oct 04: As part of 67th wildlife week celebration on 04th Oct 2021 the Biological Park, Chidiyatapu organized a field trip to important birding areas involving terrestrial and Aquatic habitat within South Andaman islands. The field trip was mainly meant for forest executive staff from different forest divisions. Where a total of 30 forest staffs participated in a day long programme. The trip prominently covered birding areas like Kalatang, Ograbraj, Sippighat, Burma Nallah where different bird species both terrestrial and aquatic habitat was identified and present issues threatening bird species diversity was discussed. The resource persons from Andaman Avian Club, Port Blair helped in identification of birds’ species during the visit.
