Port Blair, Aug 01: The State unit of BJP under the leadership of Mr. Ajoy Bairagi will start a mass awareness programme about Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojna from Monday the 2nd of August.
Mr. Bairagi will launch the programme by meeting the beneficiaries and will provide details about the scheme. People covered under this scheme are provided with free 5 kgs of Rice since May 2020 and now this scheme has been further extended upto November 2021.
To make sure that the scheme reaches every part of our islands The State President has appointed Mr. M.Vinod, State Vice President, BJP as the State Incharge of the programme along with two co incharges to organise the awareness programme throughout the islands. During this awareness programme party workers will display banners throughout the islands and distribute bags to the beneficiaries. The programme will continue till November 2021.
