Port Blair, Aug 01: Mr. Abdul Siddique, Ex – Pramukh of Mayabunder has urged to repair the Nimtala Road under Pokadera Panchayat.
In a letter addressed to the Special Officer Gram Panchayat Pokadera, the Ex – Pramukh Mr. Siddique highlighted about the present condition of Nimtala Road at Pokadera.
“The above-mentioned road plays a vital role in the life of the local people of the surrounding area under Mayabunder Tehsil. This road benefits all the general public of Mayabunder. It is very beneficial for the patients who come to the District hospital, Dr. R. P. Hospital Mayabunder. This road minimizes the distance around 1.5 to 2.00 km from the main road. At present the condition of the road is in a very dilapidated condition due to which the general public is facing lots of problems. The condition of the road has become worse due to heavy rains and is very dangerous for the daily commuters”, the Ex – Pramukh added to his letter.
He further pointed out that the road is turning out to be horrible day by day because of the increase in damages taking place daily. The daily commuters are facing lots of difficulties in driving their vehicles and even the pedestrians are also facing great difficulties in walking on the said road.
Hence he urged for an immediate solution for repair of the Nimtala Road.
