Port Blair, Mar 08: In North and Middle Andaman district 2nd phase of vaccination has began and in this connection Dr. Angel Bhati Chauhan, the Deputy Commissioner of North and Middle Andaman has appealed to Islanders of North and Middle Andaman to extend full cooperation in this drive to make it successful.
Talking to media, Dr. Angel Bhati Chauhan today said that till now N & M Andaman District Administration have conducted detailed surveillance, contact tracing and have been able to keep COVID-19 cases under total control.
“To make sure that in future COVID-19 case should not flare-up, vaccination drive is being organized in full pace,” she added.
Health care workers and the front line workers have already received their first dose of vaccination and many have completed their second dose to. Taking a step further from today we have started to provide 2nd phase of vaccination for our senior citizen and people of age group between 45-59 years, with co-morbidity.
Through media she appealed to the public to come forward and be a part of this vaccination drive. Vaccination drive is being conducted at RP Hospital, Mayabunder, CHC Rangat and CHC Diglipur.
She mentioned, for registration process of vaccination, mobile number for OTP and Adhaar card is required.
She also pointed out that on one single mobile number only four family members would be able to register themselves and if the family consists of more than four individuals then they have to register with another mobile number.
“If you are between 45-59, then there is a standard format which is available to your nearest Hospitals where you have to certify with any government doctor that you are suffering from the particular disease mentioned by the Health Ministry, and while vaccination you have to carry the certificate along with you,” she added.
She also pointed out that if there is any difficulty in registration, they could contact ASHA workers, and then ASHA workers would collect the data of the eligible people, and then the vaccination will be provided.
