Port Blair, Oct 21: Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, the Member of Parliament, A&N Islands has requested the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration for sailing of boats to North & Middle Andaman from Port Blair and vice versa to clear the stranded peoples including students, patients, businessmen, farmers etc belonging to North & Middle Andaman as they are struck up from few months at Port Blair and also at different places due to transportation problems who desirous to return to their homes in view of Durga Puja festivals which is the prime festival for the Bengal community. Further, they are also facing great hardships for their stay in Port Blair for prolong period due to financial problems. So, he urged the Chief Secretary to make necessary arrangements for sailing of a boat(s) to North & Middle Andaman upto Diglipur via Saheed Dwep, Swaraj Dweep, Rangat, Mayabunder and vice versa to enable them to avail the boat from the respective stations to reach their homes.
