Port Blair, Oct 20: Today, an 8 feet long Crocodile has been capture by Kadamtala Wildlife Division. As per information on 18 October, some fishermen sighted this crocodile in the creeks of Dinghy Ghat of Shantipur Village, Kadamtala.
The matter was immediately reported to the Wildlife team and later yesterday a cage was laid in creek during low tide. A staff was also deputed to keep a watch on the movement of crocodile.
Meanwhile, officials of Forest Department also warned all the fishermen and villagers about sighting of the crocodile and warned them not to enter into creek waters.
Later yesterday night an 8 feet long Crocodile got trapped in the cage and this morning the Wildlife team safely removed the Crocodile from cage for shifting it to safe location.
