Hut Bay, Oct 20: Nearly four days since Little Andaman Island got ‘Zero Active Cases’ tag, one youth was tested positive today before boarding in a helicopter for Port Blair. Now it seems to people of Little Andaman will have to wait for some more weeks to get rid of Containment Zones.
As per reports, the youth and his father tested themselves as per rule before boarding in the helicopter for Port Blair and in that test the youth was tested positive. Soon both the father and son were sent to isolation.
Although as per the DC of South Andaman all the containment zones in Little Andaman have been turned into micro containment zone from macro for the convenience of public but there are many in Little Andaman Island, who are still opposing creation of containment zones. As per government norms containment zones can be lifted only after a gap of 14 days from the day, the last COVID-19 case turns negative.
