Port Blair, October 12: Keeping in view of the present security scenario
and in the wake of various emerging threats to CIVIL AVIATION Security, a Mock Exercise on ‘Bomb Threat Contingency’ at the Airport was conducted by CISF Unit of Veer Savarkar International Airport, Port Blair.
The entire exercise was conducted under the supervision of Assistant
Commandant Mr. Suresh Kumar and under the overall supervision of Deputy Commandant, Mr. V B Dewangan.
The entire exercise was conducted in coordination with Airport Authority of India, BDDS, Airlines, and other stakeholders.
The main objective of the Exercise is to check and enhance the preparedness of various agencies engaged with Airport operation at VSI Airport, Port Blair, to effectively deal with such contingency in order to minimize the risks of casualty in real time scenario.
