Port Blair, June 17: Mr. Kuildeep Rai Sharma, Member of Parliament, A&N Islands has requested the Director of State Transport, A&N Administration to resume the Express Bus service of STS between Port Blair and Nimbudera and vice versa as the bus service in the said route was suspended owing to COVID-19 pandemic since 19th March, 2020 which is yet to be resumed and due to which, the villagers residing around the four Gram panchayats of Shivapuram, Swadesh Nagar, Harinagar and Basanthipur which have the population of 20 (twenty) thousand are facing grate difficulties due to non availability of Express Bus. So, the MP requested to resume the same at the earliest.
