Since 08:00 pm yesterday, both the seized boats are berthed in the Campbell Bay Port with all the 08 intruders inside it and the police personnel are keeping an eye on the boat.
No intruders are taken into custody yet following the threat of Coronavirus transmission. However, the Great Nicobar Police has passed information about intercepting the Indonesian Boats to the Police Headquarters in Port Blair and are waiting for further instructions.
As per reliable sources in the Great Nicobar Police, once instructions from the top officials in Port Blair comes, necessary steps for interrogating all the intruders will be taken.
Till now, the Great Nicobar Police Unit is not sure whether the Indonesian Boat came here for poaching or the intruder’s claims of floating inside Indian Borders due to lack of fuel is the reason.
