Port Blair, June 03: Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Member of Parliament, A&N Islands has taken up the matter with the Lt. Governor, A&N Islands on 03.06.2020 informing him that due to unprecedented pandemic COVID-19 and subsequent lockdown from March, 2020 and during this running pandemic COVID-19, many of the APWD contractors enlistment has been expired and not able to participate in tenders at present. Therefore he requested the Lt. Governor, A&N Islands to consider for extension of validity of enlistment/ revalidation of registered APWD Contractors in all class and categories whose validity expired/expiring during the pandemic COVID-19, for further period of one year, so as to enable them to participate in future tender as well as to revalidate their enlistment in due course.
