Port Blair, Apr 02: As a part of the nationwide programme which was announced by the BJP National President Mr. Jagat Prakash Nadda that “No body should sleep empty stomach”, the State Unit of BJP, A&N Islands also launched the same yesterday here under the leadership of State President Mr. Ajoy Bairagi, former State President Mr. Vishal Jolly, State Vice President Mr. M.Vinod, Sanjay Singh and Mr. Prakash Adhikari, State General Secretary Mr. K Ramdas, State Secretary Mrs. Sunita Sharma, Fulmani Thomas, State Yuva Morcha President Mr. N K Udhaya Kumar, State Mahila Morcha President Mrs. Sampa Banerjee, State Prabhari Mahila Morcha Mrs. Anita Puria and other State leaders has distributed free packed essential commodities/ration items for daily wage earners, poor and downtrodden people of these Islands.
Yesterday, the State leaders distributed essential commodities/ration items to various residents of inter-Islands who were struck at various parts in Port Blair city due to the Lockdown and today at Pranab Kanya Sangha, Delanipur, Port Blair. The distribution process was carried out by strictly maintaining Social Distancing and by following all other directives of GOI as well as the A & N Administration as a preventive measures to fight against COVID-19.
