Rangat, Jan 06: Closure of Kitchen at Community Health Center, Rangat since 02nd January, 2020 had left the admitted patient, especially those, who are from remote areas of Rangat to starve.
The patients who are from Rangat and nearby areas are somehow managing to get meals from their relatives but those who come from remote areas are finding it very difficult to manage the show.
The canteen is closed because no vendors are participation in the e-bidding process for canteen at CHC Rangat, it is learnt.
As per reports, this year the tender was done through e-bidding process and because of slow internet none of the vendors were able to participate in the e-bidding for canteen.
Talking to Andaman Sheekha, an admitted patient in the hospital said that his house is too far from the hospital and it is very difficult for his kin to bring all the 03 meals at CHC Rangat.
Further talking to Andaman Sheekha another patient said that he has no one in family to help him. “I have to spend money and request some of the medical staffs to get food for me from nearby restaurants and when there is no one to help, I remain hungry,” said the admit patient of the hospital.
When Andaman Sheekha contacted the Chief Medical Officer, Mr Ramakanta Halder in this regard he said that he is trying at his own level to sort out the problem at the earliest.
Hopefully the administrative wing of the hospital will consider the concerns of the patients and call the tender for the hospital canteen in manual way as soon as possible, so that things become easy for the patients.
