Port Blair, Sep 04: Mr Mullapally Ramachandran, Minister of State for Home Affairs has said that the Andaman & Nicobar Islands (Protection of Aboriginal Tribes) Amendment Regulation 2012 promulgated by the President of India on 27.7.2012 has been brought into force with effect from 9.7.2012. “The A & N Islands Administration has already closed down seven tourist establishments falling under Buffer Zone,” he said while replying to a question raised by Mr. B P Ray, the lone Member of Parliament, recently.
