Port Blair, Sep 04: Mr Kuldeep Rai Sharma, President, PCC today raised problems of Padauk Bagicha residents in front of the Superintendent Engineer, Electricity Dept, Mr Yameen Mohd.Murtaza. Mr Sharma appraised the SE about the miseries of the residents due to non availability of electric connection.
“Visiting the said area, I was informed by the womenfolk that their children can’t study under electric bulbs and fans. They can’t even watch TV as their houses are yet to be electrified,” Mr. Sharma told the SE.
Mr Murtaza took a serious note of the complaints and contacted the concerned Junior Engineer and issued suitable direction.
Mr Murtaza told the PCC President that the residents should meet to the concerned JE with application and they will immediately be given electrical connection.
