Teachers’ Day celebrations on 5th September marks the birth anniversary of our former President Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, an eminent philosopher, a prolific writer and a distinguished teacher. Teaching being a noble profession, teachers are respected by all sections of our society as they play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our students.
On the occasion of the Teachers’ Day, I extend my warm greetings to all teaching fraternity and call upon them to continue to imbibe the highest standards of morality and propriety and wish them success in their endeavour in making our Islands a progressive and prosperous Union Territory.
