Port Blair, Dec 15: Andaman Nicobar Command (ANC) organized an Ex-Servicemen Sammelan, aimed at addressing the issues of the Armed Forces Veterans living in the Islands, recently at Dweepika Auditorium, INS Jarawa here. A large number of Ex-Servicemen belonging to all three services, their families and Veer Naris attended the same. Lt Gen PS Rajeshwar, AVSM, VSM, ADC Commander-in-Chief Andaman & Nicobar Command interacted and felicitated the Ex-Servicemen and their families some of whom had travelled all the way from Campbell Bay for the function. During the Sammelan, facility for checking life style like diabetes, hypertension and obesity were also setup. The veterans were assured of all possible assistance in resolving their grievances within the rules and regulations laid down by Government of India. A harbour cruise and lunch at Sainik Institute were also organised for the attendees.
