Port Blair, Dec 13: The Minister of State for Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt of India, Shri Krishan Pal Gurjar is on a five day visit to the A&N Islands from Dec 15 to 19, 2019. The Minister will hold a review meeting on the issues concerning Centrally Sponsored Schemes running under Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment with the Secretaries/Senior Officers of the A&N Administration dealing with the subject of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan) and Other Backward Classes, at 1200 hrs in the conference hall of Megapode Resort here on Dec 15.
During his stay here, the Minister is also scheduled to visit various places of tourist interest and historical importance in the Islands. On completion of his visit, the Minister will depart for mainland on Dec 20, 2019.
