Port Blair, Dec 11: Inspector Sanjay Kumar, SHO, PS Aberdeen today arrived Port Blair after attending a national level conference in which PS Aberdeen was awarded the Union Home Minister of India himself. At airport Inspector Sanjay Kumar received warm welcome.
Station House Officer Sanjay Kumar received the award from the Union Home Minister Mr. Amit Shah during the DGPs/IGPs conference held in Pune on last Friday.
Aberdeen Police station in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands ranked first in the list of the best-performing police stations in the country while dealing with a property offence, a crime against women and weaker sections. Home Ministry had released the list of ten best-performing Police stations in the country.
This is worth mentioning here that under the leadership of Mr. Manoj C the PS Campbell Bay has already won this honor last year, when Mr. Manoj C was the Superintendent of Police of Nicobar District.
The award is the result of continuous endeavour and planned efforts under the resolute leadership of the Director General of Police, Mr. Dependra Pathak, IPS.
