Port Blair, Nov 06: The staff of PS Central Crime Station in its drive to wipe out the nuisance of illegal sale of liquor and bootlegging, carried out raids in South Andaman area during Diwali festival season from 21/ 10/19 to 31/10/19 under the command of Inspector Mahesh Kr. Yadav, SHO, PS CCS and altogether 44 bootleggers were arrested from every corner of Municipal area and cases under excise regulations have been registered against them. The entire raids were monitored by Mr. Abhishek Gupta, DANIS, Dy SI (CID) under over all supervision of Mr. Ravil Kumar Singh, IPS, Superintendent of Police (CID), A&N Islands
The Central Crime Station of Andaman & Nicobar Police is taking all possible steps in making these Islands free from anti-social activity and keeping strict vigil over storage and selling of illicit liquor, IMFL and smuggling and proliferation of narcotics substance in these Islands.
