Port Blair, Nov 04: Today on 02/11/19, the Campbell Bay Police under Nicobar District Police, organized an Open Table Tennis Tournament in association with State Olympic Association, A&N Islands, as part of “YUVA” initiatives by A&N Police. Shri. A.J. Sirsikar, DCE, ALHW was the chief guest and Dr. Avinash Neeraj, Dept. of Animal Husbandry was the guest of honour for the event. There were a total of 07 matches played in the ALHW, Hall Campbell Bay, and Shri. Shaji Thomas, PGT, Govt. Sr. Sec. School, Vijay Nagar, won the final match with 07-11, 11-09 & 11-06 set points.
In addition, the Campbell Bay Police under “YUVA” initiatives by A&N Police, shall also organize Road Cycling and Hockey tournament, for different age groups during this month of November, 2019 and the youths of Campbell Bay Islands have been requested to enroll their names for the said competition with this Police Station by 09/11/2019 positively.
The A&N Police is committed to encourage the youths in sports activities in Andaman & Nicobar Islands, under “YUVA” initiatives.
