Port Blair, Sept 06: The Poshan Abhiyan is observed during September, 2019. As part of it, the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), Regional Centre Port Blair has celebrated the “Poshan Maa” at its premises on Friday 6th September, 2019 . The students of Bridge Programme –Certificate in Community Health for Nurses (BPCCHN), Certificate Food and Nutrition (CFN), Nutrition and Child Care, Diploma in Nutrition and Health Education (DNHE), Master of Science in Dietetics and Food Service Management (MSC-DFSM) and other academic programmes of IGNOU has attended the programme. Mr. Anil Kumar Dhiman, Demonstration Officer, Community Food and Nutrition Extension Unit, Govt. of India, Port Blair has delivered the special lecture on “Nutritional Status of Andaman & Nicobar Islands Population”.
