Port Blair; Jun 12: Pankh – a NGO for women, organised a two days happiness and problem solving workshop at the Divyang Centre, Brookshabad.
It was an initiative of Mrs. Komal Anand, the President of Pankh who with support from Councillors and the Directorate of Social Welfare, brought in huge numbers of women and teenagers around the area of Brookshabad to participate in this workshop.
The inauguration of the two days workshop was done by the Member of Parliament, Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma in the presence of Mr. Shailender Singh, Director, Social Welfare.
The basic elements of the workshop were identifying dreams, pursuit of happiness through colors and games in everyday life, team building games which reflect positively on our everyday relationships and touch therapy combined with positive affirmations and also to ensue the correct path in their life.
The resource persons for the workshop were Ms. Samhita Veda Acharya, Happiness Coach and Mr. Vijay Bahadur, Choreographer.
Members of Pankh Smt. Rashmi Janak, Smt. Sabina Zamir, Smt. Gurmeet Kaur, and volunteers Ms. Disha, Ms. Jyoshita Anand and Mr. Pushkar Anand were instrumental in making these two days workshop a grand success. Vocational aids we’re also provided by the NGO to the special children for their skill and knowledge development.
