Port Blair, Jun 12: As a socially cognizant organisation the International Associations of lions club, Lions Club of Aberdeen Andaman, Port Blair in collaboration with Chennai National Hospital, Parrys, Chennai has undertaken a major initiative of organizing a “Free Multi Speciality Mega Health Camp” dedicated towards ensuring the good health of Islanders on 09.06.2019 (Sunday) at 11.00 AM to 4.00 PM venue at DURGA PUJA MANDAP, Junglighat, Port Blair.
The Mega health camp was inaugurated by Smt. Anusiya Devi, Chairman PBMC. Speaking on the occasion she appreciated the efforts taken by the Lions club of Aberdeen members and the team of Doctors from Chennai National hospital for organising such social service programme and to promote health awareness among the public. Mr. Ashok Parek DGM, NHIDCL, Mr. Sabarish Mohan Kumar, Joint Managing Director and Mr. Suresh, General Manager of Chennai National Hospital, Lion TR Murugeshan, Zone Chairman, Lion District 324A1, Lion V.MarudhuPandian, District Chair Person(Hospitality) Lion District 324A1, Lion. Gurpreet Singh, Asst Engineer, NHIDCL was also present on the occasion. A 07 member Super Specialist Doctors from Chennai National Hospital has arrived Port Blair and conducted the health check-up of 371 patients on the occasion. Free electrocardiogram (ECG) and blood tests and BP test were also conducted on the people visiting the camp.In the camp,free health check-up and medical consultation was provided by Dr UdeshGanapathy, Genl& Plastic Surgeon, Dr. M.Dhanabal,MD, Cardiologist, Dr. S.VijayShankar, MD, Dermatologist, Dr(Sqn.Ldr) N.Thirumoorthi, MD, Gastroenterologist, Dr. R.Saranyan, MS, NeuroSurgeon, Dr. A.Karthikeyan, MS, Orthopaedic Surgeon.
