Port Blair, June 10: A retired police constable Mr. Gurupada Biswas, nearly 68 years, was killed in a road accident this evening at Coffee Bagicha area of South Andaman. As per police source the deceased was riding a Scooty and while overtaking a truck, it dashed with the truck and came under the rear wheels of the truck. The truck was going towards Dhanikhari Junction from Port Blair and the deceased was also going towards same direction.
The accident took place at the lonely stretch of Coffee Bagicha and hence complete detail of the accident is not yet known, however, police has registered a case and carrying out detailed investigation.
