Port Blair, May 05: The South Point Stars has won the first ever Sealink Cricket League, the Day and Night Cricket League held at Velodrome, Port Blair. In the final match played on Saturday, South Point Stars defeated team of Gram Panchayat Manarghat to win the title.
The trophy was handed over by Mohammed Jadwet, President ANCA to the winning team during the award ceremony, after the final match.
Mr. Karan of South Point Stars, was declared Man of the match and game changer, Mr. Nooru of GPMG was declared Man of the series, Mr. Nooru of GPMG was declared Best Bowler, similarly, Mr. Prem of USC as Best Batsman, Mr. Salman as Emerging Player while Mr. Prem of USC was awarded for highest number of sixes.
The Sealink Cricket League was the first cricket tournament to introduce Electronic Score Board, Led Stump in ICC format in Andaman.
Altogether, 25 teams participated in this tournament.
This tournament was organized in association of Andaman & Nicobar Cricket Association.
Sir please highlight power cut issues in middle andaman (mayabunder). Daily we are suffering from power cut after every 1.5hrs power cut for next one hour. From past one month this is happening administration is literally sleeping here. I request you and your team to advertise it and also get some proper solution from the concern department.
