Port Blair, May 05: A youth of Prem Nagar reportedly jumped off MV Pillow Panja Vehicle Ferry this morning, who was later saved by Navy Vessel, patrolling in the area.
As per report the incident took place at around 10.30 am when the vessel was going towards Bambooflat from Chatham. The youth, who was allegedly under depression jumped off the vessel all of a sudden. The youth,23 years, is working as labourer.
The matter was immediately communicated to police. Luckily a vessel of Indian Navy was present nearby, which immediately swung into action and saved the youth. The youth was later handed over to Chatham Police Station from where he was taken to hospital and was later handed over to his parents.
