Port Blair, Apr 08: On 08.04.2019, DIGP (HQ) Mr. Vimal Anand Gupta, IPS, along with SP Nicobar, Dy.SP (DHQ) Car Nicobar and SHO Car Nicobar visited all the Polling Booths of Car Nicobar and also checked the communication plan for the polling day. He also took stock of security preparedness in view of polling day scheduled on 11th April, 2019. He directed the police staff to enforce the MCC as per guidelines issued from Election Commission of India. He specially emphasized about their role and responsibilities on the day of polling and 48 hours prior to the polling. He also told them to remain neutral and impartial while discharging their duties. He emphasized that our prime duty is to provide a conductive environment for free and fair elections.
In the last, SP (D) Nicobar Mr. Rajeev Kumar, IPS again reiterated the all DO’s and Don’ts on the polling day. The briefing was concluded with boosting of moral of the staff.
