Port Blair, Apr 06 : The PS Aberdeen in yet another crackdown has recovered 65 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor from a man named Laxman Rao, from Dairy Farm area. After receiving a tip off, police raided the area and caught Laxman Rao with the bottles of liquor. The team of PS Aberdeen was headed by SI P. Jeevan, HC Sunil Yadav, PC Suresh, PC Vinod Nair.
The Model Code of Conduct is in effect and hence transportation of liquor, cash or any other items having the potential of affecting the free and fair elections is prohibited.
In order to ensure free and fair election, the South Andaman Police is working diligently to enforce the Model Code of Conduct. Acting on specific inputs, various teams of the district Police have seized cash amounting over Rs. 6.5 Lakh, it is learnt.
