Port Blair, Mar 14: 120 Liters of locally blended liquor (jungli) was seized from Shadipur and 01 bootlegger was nabbed during the raid by the Aberdeen Police under a special operation on last Tuesday.
As per details, a team of PS Aberdeen consisting of SI P.Jeevan, HC S S Yadav, PC Suresh Kumar, PC Vinod Lenia, PC Jayanta, PC Nanak, PC Nandita, PC Laxmi & PC Naw Gracely under the guidance of Inspector Sanjay Kumar, SHO PS Aberdeen swung into action and caught Smti Sharmila Bibi (name changed) R/o Wireless colony, Shadipur who had stored 07 gallons full of locally brewed liquor (jungli) at her courtyard. FIR has been registered against the accused person at PS Aberdeen under A & N Excise Regulation.
With the seizure of 120 liters of locally brewed liquor and arrest of 01 accused person, Aberdeen Police showed their responsibility in combating liquor menace in society.
The entire search operation took place under the able supervision of SDPO (SA) Mr. Nishant Gupta.
