Port Blair, Mar 28: The Aberdeen Police team has arrested one person from School Line area with 2.36 KG of Ganja.
According to reports, on 26 March, following a tip off that one person is coming to School line area to sell Ganja, the Dy.S.P (South Andaman) Mr. Nishant Gupta formed a team consisting of HC/633 V Hentho, PC/3015 D Shiv Kumar, PC/2622 Suresh Kumar, headed by Inspector A.K. Singh, SHO PS Aberdeen.
The team after reaching the site with two independent witnesses caught the accused red handed with a black bag, which had 2.36 KG of Ganja.
During interrogation the accused disclosed his name as Rajesh Kumar Bepari S/o Shri. Hira Lall Bepari (39 yrs) R/o School Line.
On confession of guilt the person was arrested on the spot for commission of offence u/s 20 (B) (II)(b) of NDPS Act 1985. The accused person alongwith seized illicit Ganja brought to PS Aberdeen for further legal action.
