Billyground, Mar 28: Few days ago a minor girl’s parents had approached to PS Pahargaon to lodge a complaint against a boy who took her out for which the girl reached home late. After investigation the police found that she beaten inhumanly by the parents and was asked to give false report to police. Soon a case was registered against the parents under 75 JJ Act.
Now Billyground police has arrested a 71 years old person yesterday who is resident of Pinaki Nagar at Billyground under POCSO Act.
The person is said to be distant relative of that minor girl. It has been learnt that during counseling by an NGO the girl had alleged that the 71 year old person, her distant grandfather, had raped her two years ago, during summer vacations, when she had gone to Billyground.
After this matter was forwarded to Billyground Police Station by the NGO, the Billyground police arrested the accused person. The Billyground Police produced the accused before the Hon’ble court today.
Although the accused have been arrested based on the statement of the girl, as per law, but there are many who strongly believe that the story of the girl is not true. Police is further investigating the matter and we hope that the real picture will be clear soon.
