Port Blair, March 25: Member of Parliament, Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray and Katchal settler welfare association met Honourable Home Minister Mr. Rajnath Singh on 23.03.2018 in his Chamber.
The Katchal Settlers’ Welfare Association had a brief discussion with the Home Minister regarding the grievances & resettlement package for shifting of Katchal Tamil Settlers from Tribal area to Non-Tribal area and also Member of Parliament explained about prevailing poor conditions of Tamil Repatriates and requested to take immediate steps to resettle this repatriate family from Katchal Island to Non-Tribal area.
In reply the Home Minister assured to resolve this long time pending resettlement issue of the Tamil Repatriates.
Meanwhile, the Katchal Settlers Welfare Association expressed their gratitude to Member of Parliament, Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray who has taken up the grievances and resettlement package for shifting of Katchal Tamil Settlers from Tribal area to Non-Tribal area and also arranged a meeting with Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi on 20.03.2018 & the Home Minister Mr. Rajnath Singh on 23.03.2018.
