Port Blair, Mar 23: On 18-03-2018 one Miss Archana, GGT Carmel School, R/o Working Women’s Hostel, Pongy Chaung came to PS Aberdeen and lodged a complaint regarding missing of her purse containing cash and one Ration Card, which was kept on the top of the ATM machine, while she was withdrawing money at ATM booth of State cooperative Bank near Light House Junction, Port Blair.
On receipt of the complaint, Police personnel HC P. K. Das and PC S. N. Rao of PS Aberdeen under the supervision of SHO PS Aberdeen quickly swung into action.
After sustained efforts the person who took the purse was identified and he brought to PS Aberdeen on 19-03-18 and the missing purse was recovered and handed over to the complainant. The complainant checked the items and cash in the purse and verified that nothing was missing from the purse. The person who took the purse confessed and told that he picked the purse in good faith to return it to the woman but could not contact her in absence of any contact number in the purse.
The team of PS Aberdeen has put in sincere efforts in tracing out the missing item of the lady and has set a very good example, thereby enhancing the faith of complainants on the Police.
