
Port Blair, Feb 25: The Chairman and the organizing board of NIFF (Nashik International Film Festival) has taken decision to honor renowned film Director and Producer of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Mr. Naresh Chander Lal with the prestigious “NIFF SANMANN 2018” 10th NIFF Dadasaheb Phalke Golden Camera Award 2018, for his successful career & noteworthy contribution towards the Indian Film & Television Industry.
The award consists The Golden Camera Trophy, & will be given at the inaugural ceremony of the 10th NIFF Festival, at Nashik on 22nd March 2018 at Roasaheb Thorat Auditorium, Gangapur Road, Nashik.
The honorable recipients of this Prestigious award over past editions of NIFF are Dharmendra, Asha Parekh, Rajesh Khanna, Zeenat Aman, Sulochana didi, Manoj Kumar, Kamini Kaushal , Raj Datt , Alka Kubal, Rohini Hattangaddi, Arun Nalawade, Manoj Joshi, Govind Namdeo, Lekh Tandon, Nimmi, Kishori Shahane, Mahesh Kothare, Makarand Anaspure , Nishigandha Wad, Vikram Gokhale, Hon. Ramdas Athawale etc.
Talking to Andaman Sheekha today Mr. Lal today said that receiving honour from Nashik International Film Festival is a matter of great pride for him as it was the place where his first short film “Beyond the Horizon ” (Amrit Jal), depicting a mixture of culture living in unison amidst diversities which prevail in Andaman & Nicobar islands, acclaimed Best film on social message award in 2008.
“Nashik International Film Festival is the beginning of my career in the film line as an independent Producer,” said Mr. Lal.
