Port Blair, Feb.20: The Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Smti Krishna Raj will be arriving here on a three day visit to the Islands tomorrow (Feb.21). The Minister will visit Central Island Agriculture Research Institute (CIARI) and hold meeting with Scientists of CIARI at 11 am on Feb. 21. She will also visit National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT), Dollygunj in the afternoon. The Minister will visit Fish Markets assisted by the NFDB, Port Blair at Junglighat at 4 pm and will interact with Officers of Department of Fisheries and local Fishers during the visit. She will also witness Light and Sound Show at National Memorial Cellular Jail.
On Feb.22, the Minister will visit Baratang and interact with Officers of Department of Fisheries and local Fishers at Forest Guest House, Baratang. On Feb.23, the Minister will visit Fish Landing Centres at Havelock and interact with Officers of Department of Fisheries and local fishers at Dolphin Resort, Havelock.
On completion of visit, the Minister will leave for mainland on Feb.24, an official release said here today.
