Port Blair, Feb 18: Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, the M.P. has convened a meeting in a house of Mr. Nilkanto Bala S/o Late Bhagyadhar Bala near the Forest Nursery of Nimbu Bagicha under Choldari Gram Panchayat on 16.02.2018 at 18.30 hrs. A large numbers of villagers from the Ward No-I & II of Choldari Gram Panchayat have witnessed the said meeting. In the meeting, Mr. Ray,M.P. through a power point presentation has screened various developmental schemes launched by the “Modi Govt” .for improvement of social & economical condition of the weaker section of the Society including farmers. Mr. B.P.Ray, M.P. has also briefed about various schemes & projects such as ANIISHI Scheme, Central Road Fund for construction Road& bridges (CRF), Extension Air Port at Shibpur in Diglipur Island & at Campbell Bay in Great Nicobar Island, Enhancement of wages for the Daily rated mazdoor, Granting 1/30th Pay plus VDA to 4081 DRMs working under various govt. departments of A & N Administration, Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojna (PMGSY) for providing road connectivity in the Rural Areas etc and more precisely about the dream project of Humphrey Strait bridge for connecting Baratang Island and Kadamtala which have achieved with his personal initiatives and efforts for development of the UT Islands.
