Port Blair, Dec 27: A 03 day in-service training programme for the Scout/Cub Masters, Guide Captains and Flock leaders of the Scout & Guides Wing of Wimberlygunj Zone is being organized at Govt. Middle School, Kanyapuram from 27th to 29th December, 2017.
Inaugurating the programme, Mr. Lucas Robert, Deputy Education Officer, Wimberlygunj emphasized the role of Scouts and Guides for serving the society. He appealed the teachers to instill the Motto of Scouts & Guides which is “Be Prepared” among the students and should always be ready to serve during any type of natural disasters. Mr. V. Ranjith Kumar, Assistant Director (Sports) was the Guest of Honour. He also emphasized the role of Scouts Masters and Guide Captains.
All together 50 teachers from Wimberlygunj Educational Zone are participating in the said training programme. Earlier, Mr. Ram Mistry,HWB(S) welcomed the teachers and Mr. Samir Kumar Das, District Organizer (Scout) was the coordinator of the said training programme. Vote of thanks was proposed by Mr. Bhaskar Rao, Scout Master.
