Diglipur, Dec 04: Secretary Education Tanvi Garg, IAS visited Diglipur alongwith Deputy Commissioner North & Middle Andaman Kirti Garg, IAS on 03rd December.
After reaching Diglipur both inspected Shibpur Airport and met with the officials. Later in the evening Secretary Education inaugurated Extension of Boys hostel near Vivekananda Stadium in presence of DC N&M Andaman and Pramukh Diglipur. The Hostel is being used by both GSSS Diglipur and Subhash gram.
Speaking on this occasion Secretary asked the students to keep the hotel neat and clean and advised them to take the advantage of the stadium which is situated across the hostel.
She announced that a projector will be issued for the benefit of the students where they can use the NCERTs Educational CDs. She said that for the benefit of the students various programmes were launched in her term in which one is ‘Bharthi Card’.
The card is being used for every student as a tracing of the students study performance. Another study is being conducted is to measure student learning gap of the student and its remedy.
The main achievement of the Secretary is to translate the English and Hindi books of NCERTs books in Bangla medium through the teachers and get it published from the West Bengal and distributed to the Bangla medium students for their better learning improvements. A cultural programme was presented by the students on this occasion.
