Port Blair, Aug 28: On 25-08-2017 on receipt of information regarding gambling at Prem Nagar, the special squad of PS Aberdeen raided the spot and arrested 07 persons under sections 5 and 7 of A&N Gambling Reg. 1951 and recovered cash Rs. 13,490/-and Playing Cards.
The raid was carried out under the supervision of Insp. Arun Kumar Singh, SHO PS Aberdeen and overall supervision by DySP(SA) Shri. Nishant Gupta. The A&N police requests the general public to keep surveillance over the movements of newcomers/strangers in their respective locality and pass on information pertaining to such illegal activities by unscrupulous and anti-social elements to Aberdeen Police Station or Police Control Room over telephone numbers 03192-232400 & 100 respectively. The identity of the informer will be kept secret.
