Port Blair, Aug 23: Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, the Member of Parliament, A & N Islands in his 03 letters one each to the Prime Minister of India, the Union Home Minister and the Lt. Governor , A & N Islands vide dated 22-08-2017 has strongly opposed the initiative of Administration published in “The Daily Telegram” dated 12-08-2017 for recruitment through the self marking scheme instead of conducting recruitment test for selection and appeal for cancellation of the scheme published in the Daily Telegram dated 22-08-2017, which will be adversely affected to the Local Educated Un-employed Youth of these Territory.
Mr. Ray, the MP further expressed that due to inadequate facilities of coaching and education, the local educated candidates are not capable to compete with the candidates from mainland.
Besides that the eligible candidates from mainland with the academic marks of “State Boards” are generally higher than the “Central Board of Secondary Education”, thereby diminishing employment opportunities of local educated candidates.
Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, the MP further stated that there must be needs of an enforcement of law to safeguard the interest of nearly 50,000 /- aspiring educated local candidates of this UT Islands and he believe that Government / Administration will soon come-up with such law, which will be benefit the people living in this territory.
